Fare Integration

Working to build a consistent approach to transit fares in the region

One Fare

We’re working with the Province of Ontario and local transit partners to better integrate transit fares across the region. One Fare helps make transit more connected, affordable and convenient by reducing the cost of transferring between participating transit agencies.

The program allows transit riders to save money when connecting between the TTC and GO Transit, and participating local transit agencies, including Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay and York Region Transit.

Customers who pay their fare using a PRESTO card, credit or debit card, or PRESTO in Google Wallet or Apple Wallet are eligible for fare discounts when transferring between participating transit agencies.

How One Fare Works

TTC and GO Transit connections

When transferring between the TTC and GO Transit, the TTC fare is discounted from the total cost of the trip, regardless of travel direction.

TTC and local transit connections

When transferring between the TTC and a participating local transit agency, the second portion of the trip is discounted.

Tapping and fare inspection

Customers must tap on and off using the same payment method throughout their trip. The payment method used to pay the fare is also required during a fare inspection.

Transfer time limits

Transfers are valid for up to two hours for trips that begin on local transit, and up to three hours for trips that begin on GO Transit.

Whether travelling from Brampton, Oshawa or anywhere in between, One Fare makes transferring between transit agencies more affordable and easier.
